It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time for our WWE SmackDown Live preview. Tonight, we get to see John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura face off to determine who gets Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam, and I am expecting shenanigans of some sort. Giving away a match like this on television instead of building it up for a PPV seems an odd choice to me.

So, let’s jump in to what the blue brand has on tap for us tonight.

1. Cena vs Nakamura

Well, Shinsuke always said he wanted to face John Cena, so I am happy he gets the chance tonight.

But, I don’t expect this to be a regular old match. I smell something fishy, and despite the fact that Cena is basically a part-timer now, I don’t see him losing totally clean on live television. Something’s up…we’ll just have to wait and see exactly what WWE is planning.

2. US Title On The Line

And, we’re also getting a rematch for the US Title between Kevin Owens and AJ Styles. SmackDown Live is just spoiling us tonight.

After their train wreck of a match at Battleground where Owens won the title (call it a botch, call it a change mid-match) and the return of Chris Jericho last week, I’m not too sure where the US Title picture is heading. Owens and AJ always put on a good showing, so tonight’s match shouldn’t be any different. Let’s just hope that no one changes their minds on how things are supposed to pan out while these guys are in the ring.
