Brock Lesnar: No WWE Ramifications Over Failed USADA Drug Tests

Brock Lesnar Will Not Be Punished By WWE For Failed Drug Tests

Well, that answers that question. WWE will not be punishing Brock Lesnar for his two failed USADA drug tests, it seems. The part-time WWE star will face no fines nor any suspensions from the promotion after violating anti-doping policies for the UFC in both in and out-of-competition tests before UFC 200.

A WWE spokesperson told TMZ today that:

“WWE’s talent wellness program does not apply to part-time performers such as Brock Lesnar.”

Basically, WWE’s Wellness Policy exists to keep full-time performers healthy and WWE is “show business”, not a regulated athletic competition. So much for keeping up the image of taking this whole drug testing policy seriously.

UFC has also said they will not fine Lesnar for the failed drug tests. He can, however, still be fined and suspended from fighting by the Nevada State Athletic Commission if his appeals on the anti-doping violations are unsuccessful.

Brock Lesnar is still scheduled to appear on next Monday’s RAW and will face Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Expect WWE to go all out with the build for this match and to never mention Lesnar’s failed USADA tests again.
