Fresh off of two really enjoyable international live event shows, NXT returns to Full Sail to finish up the hype as it rolls towards TakeOver: San Antonio. As much fun as the last two weeks have been, it will be nice to get back to a consistent timeline with the weekly tapings. The Osaka and Melbourne shows took place over a month ago, so getting everyone and their feuds back on track will be a welcome sight. This week’s show will feature the return of the longest reigning Women’s Champion in NXT history, Asuka.

Also announced is #DIY, also known as the busiest tag team champions in all of wrestling. They’re coming off back to back title defenses in Osaka and Melbourne, and they’re rewarded for those two wins with a tag title grudge match against their most rated rivals, The Revival. I’ll never get tired of watching these two teams do battle, so at the very least, we’re in for a solid night of wrestling. Here are the five things I’m looking forward to on tonight’s show.

5. NXT Tag Team Championship Match: #DIY vs. The Revival

The Revival and #DIY have been having classic tag matches for the better part of six months, and I think it’s time The Revival were rewarded for all their hard work with a main roster promotion. Whether it was American Alpha or #DIY, The Revival not only revitalized tag team wrestling in NXT, but they made sure that every match they were in was the can’t miss match of every TakeOver special. The match between these two in Brooklyn was only surpassed by their match in Toronto, and while I’m not expecting tonight’s match to overtake those two battles, I’m glad they’re getting the chance to fight again. Now we just need to get The Revival on the blue brand and reignite that American Alpha rivalry ASAP.
