According to PWInsider Elite, WWE is set to shake up some of the big names on the SmackDown Live and RAW rosters in the next draft. It is believed that the plan is for AJ Styles to make the switch to the RAW brand in the next brand split and WWE draft, as has been widely rumored lately.
On the other side of the coin, there have reportedly been serious talks within the company to have Roman Reigns switch from RAW to SmackDown Live at the same time, making way for fresh rivalries on each brand. The upcoming draft is speculated to take place sometime in the summer of this year.
The discussions surrounding Reigns possibly moving from the flagship show might indicate that top officials view the SmackDown Live writing team as a strong option for making the the star’s babyface push something of a success, given the show’s relative acclaim in recent months. Yet with it being reported that Reigns is penciled in to defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34, it appears that the only way for that to happen would be Reigns winning the Royal Rumble once again – even then, the brand issue remains. Whatever route the company decides to take, the potential for new feuds on Monday and Tuesday nights is hardly a bad thing.
