Samoa Joe has been pulled from live events and it appears his return is going to be delayed.

Joe suffered an injury on the January 8th edition of Monday Night Raw in a match with Rhyno, with his injury being described by himself as “week-by week.” On a recent episode of Booker T’s “Heated Conversations” podcast, Joe spoke about his injury:

“It’s kind of a week to week thing. With these injuries sometimes they heal sooner, sometimes they heal later. They are going to do a little bit of an ultrasound, check it out every week. They’re going to be giving me treatments. It’s not something that can be fixed surgically. It’s basically a lot of time, rest, and elevation, and letting it heal. It just depends on how quick it heals. Hopefully, it will be sooner than later. Obviously, we’re going to be past the Rumble, but I don’t know how much further past that.”

His next scheduled appearance is slated to be at the European tour in May according to WWE.com’s website, meaning Joe could miss WrestleMania for a second year in a row. Last year, he was simply not booked to appear, while this injury could play a part in him missing this time.
