
WWE Live landed in Lafayette, LA, tonight for a SmackDown Live house show. In the main event, WWE Champion AJ Styles defended his title in a Triple Threat bout against John Cena and Baron Corbin. Dean Ambrose defended his newly won Intercontinental Title against the now-heel Dolph Ziggler to open the show.
Elsewhere on the card, Becky Lynch continued her quest to regain the SmackDown Women’s Title from current champion Alexa Bliss, and Nikki Bella and Natalya continued their grudge matches, with Carmella in Nattie’s corner to keep the pressure on Nikki. Plus, the SmackDown Tag Team Champions American Alpha were in 6-Man Tag Team action with Apollo Crews against The Wyatt Family.
