Welp, this week’s RAW started off with a pissed off Stephanie giving Mick Foley a performance review, Braun Strowman wanting Goldberg or Reigns, and Seth Rollins throwing fake trees around. If this is any indication of what we have to look forward to tonight, I am going to get sicker than I already am.

After the fake tree throwing incident, we jump right into Roman Reigns defending his US Title against Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. We see the same people in the “main events” on RAW every week, so this is just rehashing what we’ve seen over the past couple of months. I may be wrong, but there are more than four or five people on the RAW roster, right??

And, before this could even get started, Braun makes his way down to the ring to go after Roman. JeriKO and Braun beat Roman down, Sethie shows up with a chair, and the even more pissed off Stephanie comes down to stop the carnage. She makes Seth vs Braun, putting the US Title match on hold. Sigh…

This one ended in a double count-out, I guess to “protect” both men. It wasn’t a great match, but it didn’t totally suck. I guess that can be considered a success.

I am honestly trying to figure out the point of all of this. Strowman goes from smashing jobbers to the main event scene in a few weeks. If this is building towards him winning The Royal Rumble, I can only shake my head. WWE should have learned from their past mistakes of “too much, too fast” and moved him up the ladder slower. He’s not as bad as some of the big men Vince McMahon has salivated over in the past, but he’s still green. He’s being built to a point where it will matter when someone pins him. Unfortunately, it appears that he’s being built for one specific person to pin him, and we all know who that will be.

I just don’t get it.

But, it’s not my call. It’s not anyone’s call but Vince’s, and he’s proved in the past that he’s going to do whatever the hell he wants to do, no matter what.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the rest of RAW and what was good and what fell short.
