WWE RAW Results (11/13/17): Next Stop, Survivor Series

Color me shocked that a talking segment kicked off this week’s RAW. Stephanie McMahon came out and emasculated everyone on the Survivor Series team (especially Jason Jordan), Kurt said he was going to break Shane’s ankle, and then The Shield came out. They said they wanted New Day at Survivor Series, and that was about that. Nothing unexpected with tonight’s opening segment.

The final spot was filled on the RAW Women’s Team when Bayley beat Mickie James and Dana Brooke to join Nia Jax, Asuka, Alicia Fox, and Sasha Banks at Survivor Series. Asuka kicked Dana Brooke’s head off during this, so she may wake up sometime after Sunday’s show is over.

Enzo and Gulak faced off with Kalisto and Tozawa, and MizTV with Cesaro and Sheamus to promote their Survivor Series matches and their match with The Shield later on in the show.

And, half of the first 90 minutes of RAW this week was stupid recaps. WWE, your fans do have a memory, and we don’t need to be reminded what happened at the beginning of the show 30 minutes later.

Bray Wyatt returned to action on RAW tonight…against Jason Jordan. Sorry, but I am not impressed with Jordan. He’s got talent, but he’s dull as drying paint character wise. I don’t have any reason to get invested in him at all. Of course, I, along with all of the fans in attendance, cheered loudly for Bray beating JJ down, and a “Thank you, Wyatt” chant even broke out. It was glorious.

Then, it was time for Brock Lesnar to come out and hop in place while Paul Heyman sold his match with AJ Styles at Survivor Series. Someone in the audience proposed during this segment, causing the fans to interrupt Heyman’s promo with a “She said yes!” chant (Heyman worked that pretty good, too, and then the couple got kicked out of the building). Heyman didn’t have to sell this one too hard. This match will either be good or really, really bad…depending on how WWE decides to work it. Either way, it will be interesting.

The Shield reunited for the first time in 3+ years (in action, that is) to take on Cesaro, Sheamus, & The Miz. Good enough match. The crowd was into it, and if you thought that The Shield would lose their first match in years, you’d be wrong. Triple powerbomb to The Miz, and Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose win the day.

Kurt Angle came out and took Jason Jordan off of the RAW team due to his “injury” during his match with Bray Wyatt. Jason came out and whined about wanting to stay on the team. More boos were thrown at him, saying he’d be fine by Sunday. This endeared JJ to no one, and it probably did him more harm than good in the eyes of the fans. Steph came out, Triple H came out, and he announced himself at the 5th member of Team RAW, replacing JJ. He gave Jordan a Pedigree and left Angle in the ring with his fallen “son”. I guess we will be seeing Angle vs Trips at Mania or at the Royal Rumble. And, the combined ages of the two Survivor Series teams is 405 years. Way to push the next generation of talent, WWE.

Finn Balor and Samoa Joe teamed up to take on Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. I am pretty sure this match was treasonous in some parts of the world, but of course, I also miss heel Prince Devitt. Joe and Finn made a pretty damn good team, but I have a feeling that things won’t go all that smoothly between these two on Sunday.

Kane & Braun faced off in the main event, and despite not giving a fuzzy rat’s ass about Kane in 2017, I always look forward to seeing Braun destroy things and people; it warms the cockles of my little cold, black heart. This match didn’t even start. They fought on the outside, threw each other all over the place, broke out the tables, broke out the chairs. This was not good. Braun should have destroyed Kane within minutes instead of dragging this out until the crowd went silent. They woke up for Braun powerslamming Kane through the ring, though. There was no closing logo, no nothing, and RAW went off the air.
