NJPW World Tag League 2017 Results

NJPW World Tag League 2017 continued on Friday from Tottori. Friday’s event didn’t air live on NJPW World, but they have uploaded the four tournament matches for everyone to watch. This will be the trend until the next live show on November 30th.

In today’s tournament matches, B Block resumed with Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano taking on David Finlay and Katsuya Kitamura. Fun match with Yano’s shenanigans and my favorite demonic teddy beat destroying everyone he could get his hands on. Ishii got the win for his team with a Brain Buster to Kitamura.

Can I say I didn’t give a damn about GoD vs Makabe and Henare? Because, I didn’t. Not at all. Tanga got the pin on Henare. Young Lions always take the pins, no matter what.

Next up, it was War Machine vs Best Friends. I love Trent and Chuck, but I was expecting them to get totally annihilated. Chuckie T still isn’t getting a great reaction from the Japanese fans, and I am not sure why. Maybe they don’t get the whole dynamic between Trent and Chuck; I don’t know. I think the hugging and holding hands confuses them and makes them a bit uncomfortable. Plus, they are so used to RPG Vice that it’s difficult to get behind Trent with another tag partner. But, this turned into a rather competitive match. War Machine got the win, which was no surprise.

And, the main event was Jeff Cobb and Michael Elgin facing Killer Elite Squad. Decent enough match between these two, but every time I see Cobb, I automatically see Yano; I swear they were separated at birth. Like I said, pretty good match with KES getting the win after pinning Cobb.
