This week’s show is highlighted by the end of the Tye Dillinger/Sanity feud as Tye takes on Eric Young inside a steel cage in the main event. We also got some follow up to last week’s “hydrotherapeutic tub” incident (a sentence I never thought I’d type) as Liv Morgan & Aliyah took on Peyton Royce & Billie Kay. What was tonight’s best moment? Who shined bright and who fell short? Let’s get to the recap and results and find out!
NXT started off in the best possible way (with the best possible entrance) as Bobby Roode made his GLORIOUS return to Full Sail. Roode was great as usual during his show opening promo, and it goes back to the fact that while he may be an insufferable a-hole, he speaks the truth. He is the reason Nakamura is no longer in NXT, and NXT is GLORIOUS because of his continued success.
Roode was a noticeable absence during Nakamura’s farewell speech last week which I believe was the main reason Hideo Itami made his long awaited return. I say “believe” because Itami doesn’t say a word, and he also shows up as the best possible version of Hideo Itami: suit, dress shoes and no socks. He slaps Bobby Roode, who makes the unfortunate decision of going after Itami. After a beautiful GTS, Itami has returned and made a bold statement.
